Apply to Serve
The Oregon Sheep Commission consists of eight members appointed by the Director of the Oregon Department of Agriculture for a term of four years. Six members are producers, one is a handler, plus one public volunteer. The public member may have an interest in the economic development of the sheep industry and the marketing of lamb/wool products, but may not be involved with sheep production or handling.
Minimum qualifications are:
- Oregon resident
- US citizen
- Paid the commission assessment for at least three preceding years
To apply to serve on the Commission, interested individuals must submit an application to the Oregon Department of Agriculture and Oregon Sheep Commission. Deadline to apply for openings is May 10.
